About The Author
Malcolm White was born in Lowestoft at a former farm cottage in Kirkley Street, and has lived all his life in the town. He has always taken a great interest in the maritime, transport and general history of Lowestoft.
Witnessing many major changes to his home town, and the decline and disappearance of several traditional local industries, Malcolm set about producing a series of books which record many different aspects of local life and covering a broader spectrum than had previously been available. The readership of this unique series is well established in many countries throughout the world.
Substantial donations to local charities and other good causes have been made from the proceeds of book sales. In addition to being a member of many local maritime, historical and transport societies, Malcolm is Honorary Secretary of a local heritage and research group.
